Open-source intelligence in this field attracts people who cut corners. Corner-cutting gets evidence thrown out, gets families hurt, and occasionally gets the wrong person named in public. We do not access accounts or devices, we do not use pretexting or fake identities, and we do not touch breached or unlawfully brokered data.
We also do not expose a competent adult who chose to leave. If someone is safe and does not want contact, we confirm welfare and stop there.
We separate what is established from what is inferred, and never blur the two. If a finding rests on an assumption, the assumption is written down next to it.
We take the timeline you already have, separate confirmed from assumed, and tell you honestly whether open sources can add anything before you commit to the work.
